Hobart Cres. is located in the Ottawa (Nepean) community of Trend-Arlington, which lies east of Cedarview Rd or Hwy 416 and west of Greenbank Rd. The neighbourhood is only accessible from Greenbank Rd south of Baseline Rd and north of Hunt Club West. View the vicinity and regional maps page to get an orientation.

Greenbank Southbound from Queensway Hwy 417

• The Queensway Hwy 417 exit for Greenbank Rd south is 129.
  • Driving southward from Queensway Hwy 417, you pass traffic lights at Iris, Lisa, Baseline Rd and another one at Harrison St. (right side) & Ashgrove Cr (left side)
• Pass under the (one and only) overpass on Greenbank Rd (It's for a railway.)
• At the next traffic lights, turn right onto Banner Rd
  • If you come to Greenbank Square shopping center on the right, you missed Banner Rd three intersections before. If so, use the directions below for Greenbank northbound.
• Continue on Banner Rd past the stop and a left bend. It becomes McClellan Rd and narrows after Paula Cr
• After Cramer Cr (left side) and Grady Cr (right side), Hobart Cr. is a right turn off of McClellan Rd.
  • If you reach a stop sign while on McClellan Rd, you just passed Hobart!
• Locate the Hobart address #.
  • If the driveway is full, street parking is legal only on the odd numbered side

• Returning directions through the neighbourhood from Hobart

  • Facing the street, from an even address turn left, from an odd address turn right

    • at the end of Hobart, turn left onto McClellan Rd.

      • A shorter alternative: facing the street, from the driveway turn the other way instead, at end of Hobart, turn left onto Jansen, at end of Jansen, turn right onto Grady, at end of Grady turn left onto McClellan Rd. (i.e. left-right-left)
  • Continue on McClellan, it widens and becomes Banner Rd., pass a right curve and a stop sign.
  • Banner ends at the traffic lights. Turn left (north) onto Greenbank Rd.
  • Greenbank Rd northbound intersects Baseline Rd, Queensway Hwy 417, Richmond Rd and Carling Ave.

Hwy 416 Southbound from Queensway Hwy 417

• The Queensway Hwy 417 exit for Hwy 416 is 131
• Take Hwy 416 exit 72 for Hunt Club West (It is also signed as Regional Rd 32.)
• At the traffic lights at the end of the exit ramp turn left (east) onto Hunt Club West
• Pass the traffic lights at Cedarview Rd
• At the next lights turn left (north) onto Greenbank Rd
• Continue using directions below for Greenbank northbound

Hwy 416 Northbound toward Queensway Hwy 417

• Take Hwy 416 exit 72 for Hunt Club West (It is also signed as Regional Rd 32.)
• At the end of the exit ramp turn right (south) onto Cedarview Rd.
• At the traffic lights turn left (east) onto Hunt Club West
• At next traffic lights turn left (north) onto Greenbank Rd
• Continue using directions below for Greenbank northbound

From the Ottawa airport terminal

View the route map. The route from the YOW airport to Hobart Cr. is about 16 km.

• As the Airport Parkway leaves the terminal, you go under an overpass,
• Proceed for about 0.5 km and take the first exit right signed for Alert Rd. & Uplands Dr.
• Bear right to end up on Uplands Dr.
• Turn left (west) onto Hunt Club. Note odometer reading. Your next turn will be around 10 km.
  • Pass the major cross intersections: Riverside, Prince of Wales(Hwy 16), Merivale, and Woodroffe
• Turn right (north) onto Greenbank Rd (If you reach either Cedarview or 416 you passed it!)
• Continue using the following directions for Greenbank northbound

Greenbank Northbound from Hunt Club West

• Drive north (toward Queensway Hwy 417) from Hunt Club Rd. West
  • Pass the first traffic lights at Greenbank Square Shopping Plaza
  • Move into the left turn lane for the next intersection, which is signed for Bellman Dr (the sign itself is not easily in view) on the left and Bateman Dr on the right
• Turn left onto Bellman Dr (You are about 0.6 km from Hunt Club)
• At the end of Bellman Dr, turn right onto McClellan Rd
• Turn at the fourth left onto Hobart Cr.
• Locate your Hobart address #.
  • If the driveway is full, street parking is legal only on the odd numbered side
• Returning directions through the neighbourhood from Hobart
  • Facing the street, from an even address turn left, from an odd address turn right
  • At the end of Hobart, turn right onto McClellan Rd.
  • At the second left turn onto Bellman Dr
  • At the traffic lights turn right (south) onto Greenbank Rd. (You are about 0.6 km from Hunt Club Rd W)
  • Pass the traffic lights at the Greenbank Square Shopping Plaza entry
  • At the next traffic lights for Hunt Club Rd. West, your choices are:
    • turn left (east) toward the airport
    • turn right (west) toward Hwy 416, or
    • go straight (south) toward Fallowfield Rd.

VIA Rail

When planning your railway itinerary, do check fares and schedules at VIARail.ca for both the Ottawa and Fallowfield train stations. The nearest train station is in the west end about 9 km away at 3347 Fallowfield Rd. at Woodroffe Ave. The main Ottawa station is centrally located at 200 Tremblay Rd. off the Vanier Parkway, which  is about 18 km from Hobart Cr.

Intercity bus

Ottawa's downtown intercity bus station is located  at 265 Catherine St. (between Kent & Lyon Streets) which is about 15 km from Hobart Cr. Bus fares and schedules are available from Greyhound.ca. Other stops at Kanata Town Centre or the University of Ottawa will more conveniently connect with the local OC Transpo bus system.

There is an NCC bicycle path entry to Hobart Cr between 33 & 35. Although the entry to Hobart is not signed, it is easily found north of the hydro right of way and southeast from the Bruce Pit pond.
